Dear friends and colleagues,

I am delighted to welcome you to the city of prophet Mohamed (Peace be upon him) for the 5 th Arab Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (ASPED) conference, which will take place from Tuesday 1 st to Thursday 3 rd of October 2024. This conference was planned to be in 2020, but it was deferred due to the COVID crisis. Instead of organizing virtual conference we opted to wait until the circumstances allow us to meet physically in this Holly city.

ASPED 2024 will be an opportunity for clinicians, researchers and allied health professionals from different Arab countries to meet and gain insight into recent developments and novel therapies in paediatric endocrinology. It is also a unique networking platform to share knowledge, research ideas and discuss management strategies.

The scientific program focuses on common endocrinopathies in the region delivered by international and regional experts through different formats. We will have plenary lectures, symposia, debates, workshops, oral abstract communications, poster sessions and meet the expert sessions. On completion, the participant will have an enhanced understanding of a contemporary approach to clinical and basic paediatric endocrinology.

We invite anyone with interest in endocrinology and diabetes in children, adolescents and young adults to attend and submit their abstracts to compete for the best oral and poster presentations. Finally, I remind you to join our social program, which is designed to help you explore the heritage and the spirit of Al-Madinah Al-Monawarah.
